	The next Tribal and Trance Festival 6th & 7th September October 2008 will incorporate two days of Tribal belly dance and world dance and music from all over the globe. There are a few changes for the next festival, the first one being the organiser. Debra Napier from Urban Qabila (formerly UrbanTurban) is taking over from Devi Mamak as festival co-ordinator. There will be heaps of exciting workshops to choose from with national and international guests, a Market Day/performances day and of course a special event evening with performances from troupes & guest teachers.

	Due to the response from the first Shimmee Shindig I have organised for "Elenie" from Araby Belly Dance Academy to instruct us using her positive attitude and bubbly personallity to share her skills and expertise with those who attend the workshops. Details of various techniques that will be taught on the weekend, have yet to be finalised. These will be posted by the end of January with costs for all workshops available at this time.

	Kazbar - The journey of a Belly dancer is a 2.5hr dance theatre of a congregration of belly dancers from all over the state, coming together to enchant the eyes of dancers and public. We are raising money for childhood cancer and I would like a response for any bellydance group willing to give their time to an event by coming to portland to show off their skills and be involved in this wonderful event.

	WAMED Festival 2008, Midnight at the Oasis Perth WA
	Presented by Bellydance WA New venues and new dates. Brilliant workshops, special events and plenty of shopping. We welcome to Perth, Professor Hassan Khalil from Egypt, Jrisi and Devi from NSW who will join many of WA's festival favourites and some new instructors too.
