The Art of Tribal Belly Dance
"The Art of Tribal Belly Dance" Volume 1 is an introduction to The Body Temple Format with a special blend of energy exercises, strengthening routines, tribal technique, drills and performances. 2 hours of instruction on 2 DVD's plus a FREE 35 page E-booklet!
DVD 1: Preparation
Acushla utilises her training in Traditional Chinese medicine (Adv Dip. Acupuncture) and explores the basic Qi Gong sequence as the 9 meridian exercises. Through regular practice of these energy exercises, the dancer embodies power and grace. The preparation section concludes with a thorough core and posture strengthening routine that has been carefully crafted to improve movement capabilities through proper body carriage and postural endurance.
DVD 2: Tribal Steps and combinations
We start with foundations of the dance, which include basic arm positions, arm patterns, foot placements and posture. We then move on to the 9 Arhythmic & 9 Rhythmic Tribal steps and combinations. Each step and combo includes clear instruction on footwork, body positioning, cues and drills. Two choreographies are demonstrated from the front and back with 2 camera angles. DVD 2 concludes with two duet performances filmed in a professional theatre setting.
