ave you ever gone to a performance and found out you've forgotten a vital part of your costume? I know that at various times some of our girls have forgotten zills, coin bras, bracelets and bindi's. Can you imagine forgetting to pack your choli or pantaloons? Eeeeeeeeekk!!
ach time that I pack for a performance when I'll be getting dressed and made up elsewhere, I always write out a checklist for myself. The last time tho, I decided to actually write one up on the computer... and then thought that perhaps that YOU might find it useful as well!
hope you find it handy! If there's anything that I have left off the list, then please let me know and I'll add it to the checklist.
t's a plain white page with black text so that it will print up nicely for you. There's several "check" columns so that you can use it more than once, plus a few empty spaces for your own extras.
h... and in case you're wondering why Super Glue on the list ... it's for acrylic
nails that might come loose, or a glass bit on a necklace that might fall out, or... whatever! Thanks to Anysia for this tip! And thanks also to Sue M for suggesting "Rescue Remedy" - an excellent way to help calm those pre-performance jitters.
nd here's another suggestion, from Margo... several pairs of black shoelaces. They're strong enough to tie almost anything securely, they look good enough to hang pendants from them, they serve as emergency replacement for broken elastic in your pantaloons, ties on your choli, and lots of other things.
